Alicia Shields, PhD

Alicia joined Health Advances in 2020 and is a member of Health Advances’ Cell and Gene Therapy practice. She has extensive experience in opportunity assessment, market sizing, competitive analysis, revenue forecasting, and commercialization strategy. Alicia has worked as a researcher at UMass Medical School in Molecular, Cell & Cancer Biology, and at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Molecular Microbiology & Immunology. She holds a PhD in Genetics from Stanford University and a BS in Biology, summa cum laude, from South Carolina State University.
